Who wants to go back to a simpler time? *Four Seasons Orlando Baby Voice*: "ME!"

Hello, hello, and welcome back. If you're new here, I'm Alexa, and every month, I like to remind you that time moves in weird ways by sharing alllllll the things that happened the month prior. You may have been aware of some. You may have forgotten others. And sometimes you'll think there is no way that JUST happened. But it did. So, without further ado, here's everything that happened in May:

1. May 1: Dance Moms: The Reunion aired on Lifetime.
Chloé Lukasiak, JoJo Siwa, Paige and Brooke Hyland, Kalani Hilliker, and Kendall Vertes,Paige and Brooke's mom, Kelly, Kalani's mom, Kira, Kendall's mom, Jill, and JoJo's mom, Jessalynn all made an appearance, along with Chloé's mom, Christi.
Maddie Ziegler, Mackenzie Ziegler, and Nia Sioux did not attend, which drew backlash.

2. May 1: WNBA star Brittney Griner sat down for her first official interview since being released from a Russian prison. She recalled being left outside for hours by guards during blizzards and said she had to cut her hair because it kept freezing and causing her to get sick.

3. May 3: After high tensions volleyed between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar, Drake dropped the diss track "Family Matters."

4. May 4: Of course, Kendrick followed this shortly after with "Meet the Grahams," a track in which Dot accused Drake of having a secret child.
And then Kendrick doubled down with a second track in less than 24 hours, the now infamous song"Not Like Us."

5. May 4: Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker gave a commencement day speech at Benedictine College, telling the "ladies" who just graduated that he "would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world," after suggesting homemaking would be their most fulfilling path.

9. May 9: Hailey and Justin Bieber announced they're expecting their first child together.

10. May 9: While appearing on The Cutting Room Floor podcast, hosted with Recho Omondi, Law Roach said Zendaya was turned down by Chanel, Saint Laurent, Dior, Gucci, and Valentino early in her career.

13. May 12: Social media users started unfollowing celebrities in mass with the Blockout 2024 movement, which specifically targeted those with a platform they weren't using to support Palestinians.

15. May 16: During a hearing, Marjorie Taylor Greene commented on representative Jasmine Crockett's false eyelashes — words Democrats asked to be struck from the record. 17. May 17: Previously, singer Cassie filed a lawsuit against rapper Diddy, alleging both physical and sexual abuse, which was settled after one day. On May 17, CNN released a video of an incident between the two at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. In the footage, Diddy appears to kick Cassie in front of an elevator before attempting to drag her to a room.
Diddy shared an apology after the footage spread online.
18. May 18: Gypsy Rose Blanchard taught followers how to make an "energy drink" she used to concoct in prison.

19. May 19: Simone Biles came to her husband's defense (again) after he continued to face blowback for claiming he didn't know who she was before they started dating.
"Y'all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship and my husband," Simone wrote on Instagram. "So, I'm gonna go ahead and say this one time, 'Respectfully, fuck off.' And if you keep commenting or tweeting at me, I'm just going to block you. Simple as that."

21. May 21: This Is Us star Niles Fitch recently graduated from the University of Southern California. He played young Randall on the show, and his costar, Hannah Zeile (who played young Kate) showed up to support. But she wasn't alone! Their show-dad, Milo Ventimiglia, was also there to celebrate his "son."

22. May 23: Cassie shared the following message after CNN released the previously mentioned video of Diddy appearing to kick and drag her. "The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past."
